Min andre tur til Kvitnykja, en svært fin høstdag. Første tur opp var i tåke og dårlig sikt så det sier seg selv at jeg var nødt opp igjen.

Rute beskrivelse :

• fra Sjøholt – E39 ta av mot Geiranger / Stordal
• følg Riksvei 650 og ta av i Vaksvika mot Vaksvikfjellet
• følg Fv102 til Kjersemvatnet, og ta av opp til Kjersemsetra.
• parkering (skiltet) noen hundre meter fra der stien starter.
• følge grusvei over elva og opp til enden av veien, du vil se skilt mot Kvitnykja i enden.
• det er godt merket og synlig sti opp gjennom skogen. (legg merke til at stien vil bli en liten bekk etter regnvær)
• følge stien opp Seterlia til ca 714 moh, her er skiltet og merket sti videre oppover ryggen til Kvitnykja
• stien opp ryggen er merket med stikker & små varder og veksel mellom ur & sti.
• mot toppen på egga er det ett kort stykke hvor det er noe smalt og bratt. Stien går på nedsiden av selve eggen.
• deretter flater det ut opp mot toppen.

PS ! Legg merke til de store steinblokkene/knausen som du passerer på vei oppover og husk du skal på nedsiden av disse på vei ned igjen. Det er lett å gå til venstre for disse, da havner du ut i steinura og får en vanskligere rute ned igjen.
